Barcelona Music Lab has wrapped up its participation in Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2025 with three key initiatives that reinforce our commitment to innovation and collaboration in the fields of music and technology.
TMB Challenge: Music to Transform the Metro Experience
On Tuesday, we took part in the launch of a new innovation challenge by the Barcelona City Council, BIT Habitat, TMB, and our Foundation, seeking creative solutions to enhance the user experience in the Passeig de Gràcia metro transfer. As part of the Barcelona Metro Centennial celebrations, this initiative invites creators and innovators to propose projects where music plays a central role in making this 237-meter space more welcoming.
UAB-Cruïlla Chair of Music & AI
Also on Tuesday, our Strategic Projects Director, Doris Obermair, together with Fernando Vilariño, presented this initiative at the Barcelona City Council booth. The project aims to foster research and applications of AI in the arts. The Chair is structured around three main areas: AI for artistic creation (AI-CREATE), AI as a support tool for creators (AI-SUPPORT), and AI for the development of cultural and creative industries (AI-EXPERIENCE). It also promotes an experimental approach involving citizens and live events as innovation labs.
Startup Calls: Boosting Emerging Talent
On Wednesday, alongside Plug&Play, we shared an overview of all the startup programs we have launched to support entrepreneurs in the music and tech sectors. From innovation challenges to accelerators, our mission is to connect emerging talent with the business and cultural ecosystem to foster disruptive and sustainable solutions.
Being part of ISE allowed us to keep spreading our mission and connecting with key sectors in music and technology innovation. A huge thanks to Barcelona Activa and Plug and Play Tech Center for having us. See you next time!
