Drive the energy transition in the music industry

¿What is
Energy Challenge?

Energy Challenge is an open innovation program by Barcelona Music Lab seeking innovative solutions to accelerate the energy transition in music festivals in Catalonia.

The call is open to startups from all over Europe proposing technological solutions capable of reducing and optimizing energy consumption, integrating renewable energies, and raising public awareness. Energy Challenge is your opportunity to collaborate with major partners and take your solution to the next level.

The Energy Challenge's lines of action

1

Monitoring and optimizing energy use

We seek solutions that minimize, monitor, and optimize energy consumption at festivals, reducing the use of air conditioning, lighting, and other aspects without compromising the attendee experience. Proposals that automatically adjust consumption according to needs.

Integration of renewable energy sources

We are looking for solutions that facilitate the generation and storage of renewable energy at festivals. We are interested in mobile and autonomous solar, wind, or kinetic energy systems that replace conventional generators and adapt to the temporary needs of the event.

Raising awareness and offsetting emissions

We value regenerative proposals that involve attendees, artists, and suppliers in reducing emissions and advancing the energy transition. Interactive proposals promoting environmental awareness and offering mechanisms to offset the carbon footprint generated during the festival are welcome.
