The First Music and Artificial Intelligence Conference will be a meeting point to explore the profound changes that AI technology is introducing to the music world.
Over two days, we will reflect on the challenges this technology presents, as well as the opportunities and risks it may bring to the music industry from an economic, legal, and ethical perspective.
Through roundtable discussions and presentations by renowned experts, we will analyze how AI is transforming the processes of music creation, production, and consumption. But it won’t all be theory: the conference will include live demonstrations where we can see firsthand how AI is driving new forms of creativity and innovation, along with disruptive performances that will showcase the future of music thanks to this technology.
A few weeks before the First Music and AI Conference, an exclusive closed-door meeting will be held, bringing together prominent professionals from music, philosophy, business, and other strategic sectors.
This session will be a key moment to define the creative sector’s stance on the impact of generative AI, where a document will be drafted with the goal of influencing future legislative reforms.
The conclusions from this preliminary meeting will be presented at the First Music and AI Conference.
You can find more information about the Pre-meeting and get to know the participating professionals in this post.

The primary goal of this workshop is to demonstrate, practically, how AI can be integrated into real-time artistic creation, offering a new dimension to live performances. It will include both a theoretical section on how AI tools can enhance a creator’s work and a practical one where the audience will interact with AI to create music together. The workshop will be led by Mark d’Inverno and Matthew Yee-King, computing professors at Goldsmiths and jazz musicians. With the technical support of Artificia.
Duration: 1 hour
